The Rotary Club of Ancaster has provided community service since 1978 in the Town of Ancaster and around the world.

Comprised of individuals who have adopted Rotary International's theme of Service Above Self, the Club has been able to amass a long list of activities and programs to enhance the lives of the residents of Ancaster. Joint sponsors of the Rotary Centre at the Ancaster Community Centre, the Club is making a contribution to the future well being of the Ancaster community. The Rotary Centre was built by the Town of Ancaster and now is operated by the City of Hamilton Parks and Recreation Department.

As sponsor for the Water For Life Project in the Artibonite Valley in Haiti, this Ancaster based group of volunteers has been able to impact the lives of thousands of people.

The story of Water For Life is a testament to how a community in Ontario Canada can reach out and support an area of over 300,000 people in another country. Read the history of this exciting project and the current plans as the work continues to bring clean, safe water to this remote region. Learn how individuals, groups, churches and the Rotary International Foundation have been able to work together to drill over 120 wells and build a pipeline that brings water to 20,000 people. Consider how you might be able to partcipate. Find out how Haitians have been able to be trained to support the work and maintain the wells to create self sustaining development.

Meetings of the club are held monthly on Tuesday evenings at the Community Centre on Jerseyville Road with interesting programs and an opportunity to be active in events designed to support the charitable efforts of Rotary, Internationally and locally.
