Schedule of 2011 EventsApres Ski Winter Party - February 12, 2011Each February the Club hosts a Fund Raising Dinner and Dance. The Apres Ski Winter Party held February 12th 2011 featured an Alpine theme with foods of Italy and Switzerland. Reception began at 6:00 with a buffet dinner at 7:00. The Silent Auction is always a challenge for attendees as they decided which bargains they wished to take home....We thank our many businesses who donated to the silent auction and those who provided event sponsorship as well.
Ancaster Heritage Parade - June 11, 2011See You At The Parade! - Please bring your donation to support the 2012 Heritage Days!Each year at the Heritage Days Parade on the second Saturday of June the Ancaster Rotary Club is pleased to carry out a cash donation campaign from the viewers of the parade...walking the parade route we collect donations from the gathered crowds. Each year the donations have increased and we thank all of the generous patrons who dig deep (and who plan to make a donation by bringing money even if they leave their wallets and purses at home). All proceeds are transfered to the Ancaster Heritage Days Committee to help fund the next years parade. This past year (2011) over $2400 was collected....over the past five years it has totaled over $14,500. We thank the citizens of Ancaster who help to keep this important civic event going.
September 2011...Cow Paddy BingoHeld for the first time at the Ancaster Fair in September 2010, we returned again in 2011 with Cow Paddy Bingo...tickets are low cost and only a limited quantity are sold...our winner in 2011 took home $990. Fun for all...get your tickets early before they sell out each year. Tickets for 2012 will be available in June 2012.Congratulations to this year's winner, Brendan Murphy of Ancaster holder of ticket #750, and thank you to all who played Cow Paddy Bingo...proceeds will support our youth charities and the Ancaster Agricultural Society.
