Lloyd Kirkpatrick Student Awards

The Lloyd Kirkpatrick Community Service Award at Ancaster High School is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Ancaster and is given to the student in his/her graduating year that most reflects the principles contained in the Rotary Motto - "Service Above Self", the Rotary 4-Way Test and that has shown the most sustained community leadership throughout their school years. A Certificate for the student's Curriculum Vitae, a Certificate suitable for framing, and an investment in the student's name are provided.

The Lloyd Kirkpatrick Athletic Awards are presented at Ancaster Senior Public School each year. The awards are given to the top male and female athletes in the school. A Certificate for the student's Curriculum Vitae, a Certificate suitable for framing, and a Registered Education Savings Plan are provided.

The Lloyd Kirkpatrick Community Service Awards at public elementary schools in Ancaster are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ancaster and are given to one student in each participating school that most reflects the principles contained in the Rotary Motto - "Service Above Self", the Rotary 4-Way Test and that has provided the greatest community/school leadership during the past year. A Certificate for the student's Curriculum Vitae, a Certificate suitable for framing, and a Registered Education Savings Plan are provided.

The "Make a Difference Award" is associated with the Lloyd Kirkpatrick Student Awards at the elementary schools in Ancaster. This program is also sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ancaster and is given monthly to students in area public elementary schools who come closest to reflecting the principles contained in the Rotary Motto - "Service Above Self" and the Rotary 4-Way Test. These certificates are given out on an ongoing basis to encourage young people to practise good citizenship. A Certificate for the student's Curriculum Vitae is provided. These students become eligible for consideration in the competition for the Lloyd Kirkpatrick Award at the end of the school year.

The Lloyd Kirkpatrick Student Awards are funded through the annual fund raising programs of the Rotary Club of Ancaster.
