Rotary Events CalendarEach year the Ancaster Rotary Events program offers a variety of fun opportunities for the community. These events are designed to provide the community with varied opportunities to come together to enjoy friendship and experience fine entertainment. They also provide a means for the club to raise funds to support its charitable activities. Most events are sponsored by individuals and organizations which share the Rotary Club's objectives to promote international co-operation, education, health and well being and support of youth. Sponsorship opportunities vary by event. Mexican Fiesta - Valentines Dinner and Dance: February 7, 2009The first event of the 2009 year, the Valentines Dinner and Dance was a superb evening and provided the community with an elegant and enjoyable evening of fun and entertainment. The 14th annual Valentines Dinner and Dance included a fun Mexican dinner, Sangria reception, silent auction with quality gifts and dancing to the Nomads. Each year the band has been a hit and attendees enjoy dancing to a lively program. The Ancaster social calendar begins the year in fine style with the annual Valentine Dinner and Dance. Over $14,000 was raised in 2008 to support the work of the Rotary Club of Ancaster...The Haiti Water For Life, Polio Plus, Lloyd Kirkpatrick Youth Awards, Fieldcoat Museum, Ancaster Citizen of The Year Awards, youth sports, and other programs. We thank our sponsors and others who provided financial and goods in kind in the past to support this important event.
