Through the generous support of many sponsors each year, The Ancaster Rotary Club is able to raise significant funds to support many worthwhile projects. These community minded individuals and organizations are the life-blood of regular annual events. Through this page and those to follow we will be highlighting these generous and supportive organizations.

Whether it is people who line the streets of the Annual Heritage Days Parade, and donate by filling the buckets carried by Rotarians each year, or it is the large event sponsors who provide major donations, each dollar raised is used to promote community, friendship, youth development or health improvement somewhere in the world.

Youth Development Programs

Through the dollar support of donors, The Rotary Club is able to support Rotary Programs for Youth including the International Youth Exchange.

Local Youth Development is a focus for Rotary as well.

Each year presentations are made to deserving youth through the Lloyd Kirkpatrick Student Awards. These presentations are made in the local High School, Senior Public School and Elementary Schools to recognize significant achievement.

Local students are recruited and supported to attend RYLA, Rotary Youth Leadership Award programs. Students also attend Slapshot another Youth Leadership training program. In addition we support a student to attend the Adventures in Citizenship program where a group of students from across Canada spend time in Ottawa, the National Capital learning about issues of a national scope.

International Development Programs

The Ancaster Rotary Club continues to support the work of Rotary around the world in many areas of international development.

Regular support to the PolioPlus Program, Rotary's commitment to eradicate Polio from the earth is one area of annual International Support.

The Haiti Water For Life Program is one of the largest ongoing International Community Service projects supported by Rotary Clubs in District 7090, the Rotary District of the Ancaster Club. This bi-national district of Rotary Clubs from the Niagara Peninsula in Canada and Up State NY in the US is a very active supporter of many international programs. Through the District 7090 World Community Service Committee Clubs are able to exchange experience in Community Service programs in many countries. The Ancaster Club has been pleased to support several of the projects championed by other District 7090 Rotary Sponsors.
